EDUCATION IS THE FOUNDATION OF OUR ECONOMY. WHAT WE LEARN IN SCHOOL DETERMINES WHO WE BECOME AS INDIVIDUALS AND OUR SUCCESS TROUGH OUT OUR LIVES.IT IS IMPORTANT TO PRESENT DAY TEACHERS TO BRING IN INNOVATIVE WAYS OF TEACHING IN THEIR CLASSROOM.

NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE

  • TRADITIONAL TEACHING METHODS ARE ALL TEACHER CENTERED.
  • PRESENT DAY STUDENTS HAVE MORE WINDOWS TO THE OUTER WORLD. THEY NEED TO BE MOTIVATED AND SHOULD MAINTAIN THEIR INTEREST IN ROUTINE CLASSES THROUGH INNOVATIVE WAYS.
  • CREATIVITY OF STUDENTS SHOULD BE STIMULATED
  • TO AROUSE INTEREST IN STUDENTS.
  • TO INSTILL CERTAIN CONCEPTS AND KNOWLEDGE.
  • TO MAKE LEARNING AN ENJOYABLE PROCESS
OBJECTIVES
  • TO MAKE STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEMS OF CLIMATIC CHANGE.
  • TO MAKE STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THEIR ROLE AS A DEFENDER AND FRUITFUL CITIZENS OF THE WORLD.
  • TO PROVIDE A LIVELY ENTRY INTO NEW LESSON
  • TO MOTIVATE AND DEVELOP INTEREST IN STUDENTS.

TEACHER STARTED THE CLASS THROUGH A BRAIN STORMING SESSION ON AN IMAGE RELATED TO CLIMATE CHANGE. THE PROFILE OF LEONARDO DICAPRIO IS PRESENTED AND INTRODUCED THE LESSON WHICH IS A SPEECH DELIVERED IN THE UN CLIMATE SUMMIT. TEACHER THE DIVIDES THE CLASS INTO 3 AND GIVES THREE POSITIONS IN THE CLASSROOM. TEACHER EXPLAINS TO STUDENTS THE RULES OF TABLEAU TO BE PRESENTED. THE RULES WERE AS FOLLOWS:
  • STUDENTS WERE GIVEN 2 MINUTE PREPARATION TIME ONCE THE TOPIC WAS ANNOUNCED.
  • STUDENTS HAVE TO STAY MOTIONLESS FOR THE NEXT ONE MINUTE ONCE THE BELL RINGS. TEACHER EVALUATES THE TABLEAU AND GIVE MARKSON TEN. THE TOPICS GIVEN FOR TABLEAU WERE- LEARN FROM NATURE, KERALA FLOODS, DEFORESTATION.
STUDENTS PRESENTED THE TABLEAU CREATIVELY . TEACHER EVALUATED THE SAME AND RESULTS WERE ANNOUNCED. TEAM SPRING WON THE PRIZE.. TEACHER READ THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF THE LESSON. ALL TERMS WERE CLEARED. SCAFFOLDING QUESTIONS WERE ASKED AND A STUDENT SUMMARIZED THE WHOLE LESSON.
TEACHER FINALLY GAVE A QUOTE TO EACH BENCH AND ENCOURAGED THE STUDENTS TO MAKE THAT QUOTE THEIR MOTTO IN LIFE.

CONCLUSION
STUDENTS TOOK GREAT INTEREST IN PERFORMING THE TABLEAU. THE CLASS WAS VERY LIVELY AND ACTIVE. I WAS ABLE TO INSTIL MANY IMPORTANT IDEALS IN MY STUDENTS TO BECOME FRUITFUL CITIZENS. THEIR CREATIVITY AND CRITICAL THINKING WERE STIMULATED.
