In this modern world where knowledge is at finger tips, teacher's have to take an extra role to gain students attention to normal classroom lessons. Students are bored by their usual text and notebook practice. Teachers need to be creative to instill thinking process in her students.
Innovation is a new idea, creative thought, new imagination in the form of device or method. As a teacher to stimulate my students thinking, creativity and to make students clearly understand the concept I made an innovative model to teach students some concept of prepositions.
OBJECTIVES
- To teach students prepositions.
- To make students clearly understand the concept.
- To involve students in teaching learning process.
- To help students frame sentences using prepositions in relation to the box and light glowed.
- To motivate and develop interest in learning
- In instill creative thinking in students.

The model consisted of a board with electric circuit which connected switches and their respective bulbs. (LED). A box was pasted near the Led's in relation to the preposition to teach. Each unit consisted of a switch, a box or road and a light to learn the concept. When the switch is pressed the light glows. Nearly 28 prepositions were taught using similar units. Ten fill in the blanks exercises were also given in the middle.It was taken as a part of structural activity in a normal lesson plan. Each student comes forward and glows the light by pressing the switch. The frames sentence in relation to the box or roads and the Glowing light. Once the whole units are covered students work on the activity in the middle portion. Students again check their answers by pressing the switch next to each fill up. Then all doubts of students were cleared.
Findings
Students took great interest in doing activities. Clearly learned the concept through activity. Students thinking capacity was stimulated. Was highly effective compared to traditional methods.
Conclusion
Prepositions are integral part of sentence. Essential for effective communication. I gained more confidence in developing such teaching aids to make my class more attractive.
